Bayview Cottages

I had a very disappointing experience following a reservation with Bayview Cottages. I spoke with property owner Marcy who took my reservation and confirmed availability for the dates I choose. I told her I would confirm and send the deposit after speaking to my husband. I spent 3 days chasing Marcy via email and phone requesting her etransfer information to pay the deposit. Finally, Monday evening I get an email from Marcy – sorry for the late response here is the etransfer email. I responded quickly and told her that I would send the money first thing in the morning. Next morning, I get an email telling me that her husband gave the cottage away to another family for a full week – good luck in my search. She tried to say that I delayed sending payment when in fact – I called numerous times, left voicemails, sent several emails over the course of the weekend. I strongly believe she was just waiting to see if they could get someone to book longer than the 4 days I requested. Slimy! After expressing my disappointment and telling her that I would share my experience on social media, she offered to ask the family they rented to if they would change their reservation. No thanks! Marcy had already spoiled my family’s vacation, the other family deserved to enjoy theirs. This would have been my kids first cottage vacation! #bayviewcottages
